The University recognizes that financial obstacles can pose significant challenges for college students working to complete their degree. Concerned with the rising debt students often face and the potential to impede student success, MU leaders are undertaking efforts to mitigate financial challenges for students. An on-going review of the student charge program is underway, ensuring that charges fed to the student bill are academic in nature and promote student success.

Can I student charge at the Bookstore?

Yes, The Mizzou Store still accepts student charge for educational items such as textbooks, course supplies, required software and technology and commencement regalia.

How can I make purchases without student charge?

Students can use an alternative form of payment for non-educational purchases. One option is to load Tiger Cash on your TigerCard, which allows your ID to work like a pre-loaded card at The Mizzou Store, all Campus Dining Services locations and zouLIFE services at MizzouRec.

What about tickets for concerts and football games? Will there be additional changes to student charge?

For now, student charge can be used to buy tickets to cultural and sporting events. However, the University continues to re-evaluate the student charge program and future changes could be made. A work group consisting of MU departments and students will be working with individual departments affected by changes to student charge and will communicate those changes on this website.
