What does this fee do?

This fee supports the MU Student Health Center, important health and safety initiatives on campus, and a number of health services including:

  • Yearly (academic year) flu shot and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening test
  • Timely appointments (same- or next-day primary care appointments and same week behavioral health appointments)
  • Behavioral health consultation during primary care medical visits
  • Up to four visits,  if needed, to psychiatrists. (If more than four visits are needed, charges are filed to insurance.)
Will my insurance cover this?

The Student Health Center contracts with most major insurance networks. Charges incurred for primary care medical visits are determined by your health insurance plan and the rates they have negotiated for specific services offered through MU Health Care. For more information about how insurance works at the Health Center, visit studenthealth.missouri.edu.

The ability to pay is not a barrier to medical care at Student Health Center. Staff will work with students regarding Student Health Center billing concerns.

Fees are subject to change at any time without advance notice.
